This boasts loads of spice up front, accented with notes of marmalade, old leather, cocoa, and hazelnut. At more than 126 proof it packs a lot of flavor, but the alcohol never feels overwhelming. It takes a splash of water to fully open up and show its full array of character. Orange peel, chocolate, toasted rye, and oak spice round out this complex beauty.
